Scott Medler, PhD. Comparative Physiologist
I am a comparative zoologist with a research focus on skeletal muscle structure and function. I have studied muscles in bivalve molluscs, lobsters, crabs, amphibians, and mammals. I am broadly interested in how skeletal muscle design permits the unique aspects of muscle function observed among diverse animals. I am also a university professor and enjoy teaching physiology, anatomy, and other topics related to organismal function.
